Graduating from Wolverhampton Art College in 1982 with a Fine Art degree, Sue has dedicated her career to the creative arts. Sue has taught in Art in Higher Education, in community Art Centres, charities, and for the private sector, commissioned by Saatchi. She then continued her career working in creative education.
Sue has exhibited widely across London in both group and solo shows.
Her work explores the fine elements between structure and form. Her stimulus is developed through a deep understanding of European landscape and architecture. Her paintings depict a fine balance between the unformed and formed. The subtle use of line is used to define and dissect the structure. The relationship between colours is an essential element that describes the juxtaposition of form.
Her work has an intense feeling of fluidity, and the flexibility of the paint has allowed her to experiment with a range of different textures.
Her current studio is at the Chocolate Factory in Wood Green's Cultural Centre.
